Clifford K. Wells, Esq. has spent his career as a Florida personal injury attorney. He has represented the victims of wrongful death, negligence, injuries arising out of automobile collisions, tractor trailer collisions, motorcycle accidents, pedestrians who have been hit by an automobile, workplace accidents, faulty or defective products, negligent maintenance or repairs of property (premises liability) and slip and fall claims.
Mr. Wells is recognized for his representation of the injured and as an attorney in the community. He was given an “AV Preeminent” by Martindale-Hubbell, ranked as the “Nation’s Top One Percent” by National Association of Distinguished Counsel, and listed as Super Lawyers Magazine “Rising Stars” for 5 years running. Further, Mr. Wells is named “Top 40 under 40” for four years in a row by The National Trial Lawyers Association of America.
In addition to his extensive experience as a personal injury attorney, Mr. Wells has extensive experience fighting insurance companies for failing to adequately reimburse their insureds in cases involving homeowners’ insurance; flood, fire, storm, and water losses. Unfortunately, some insurance companies and adjusters commonly put profit before adequately reimbursing their own clients.
Attorney Wells has had great success as a personal injury attorney by focusing on maximizing the value of each case by working personally with each client rather than operating a “mill” in which the client’s only contact is office staff and rarely, if ever, speaks with an attorney. Over the years, this philosophy has certainly set Mr. Wells apart.
Education and Experience:
Prior to obtaining his Law Degree, Clifford K. Wells earned a Bachelors of Science in Occupational Safety and Health where he was trained not only in the standards of safety for large corporations and the role that insurance corporations play, but the necessity of holding negligent parties responsible for their actions to encourage safe practices. This background is one of many things that set attorney Wells apart during law School and in his thriving practice in Florida.
Mr. Wells began his law school career at the University of Tulsa followed by the University of Missouri in Kansas City where he received his Juris Doctor degree (JD). Mr. Wells is admitted in Missouri and Florida, is a member of the Florida Bar Association, the Missouri Bar association, the Academy of Trial Attorneys of America, the Florida Association of Trial Attorneys (now Florida Justice Association) and has been a member of both the Tampa and St. Petersburg Bar Associations as well.
Mr. Wells attends ongoing training and education as well as spending countless hours studying and perfecting his negotiation and trial strategies. This independent study and his genuine interest in the intricacies of negotiations and trial presentation are another thing that sets Mr. Wells apart. Many experienced lawyers become complacent and go into trial or settlement negotiations using the same old set of skills they learned at their first job. Mr. Wells is always seeking new methods and understands that you can’t handle every client’s case with the same tactics or go up against every defense attorney with the same arguments.
Mr. Wells has handled cases in both Federal and State Courts throughout the state of Florida
from Key West to the Panhandle. Cities he serves include St. Petersburg, Tampa, Clearwater, Largo, Pinellas Park, St. Pete Beach, Orlando, Gainesville, Tallahassee, St. Augustine, Boca Raton, Ft. Lauderdale, and Miami.
Mr. Wells and handles the entire litigation process, from meeting in person with new clients through final judgment after jury trials.
